Lou Hayter, c’est la fille discrète au petit sourire en coin qui, dans le clip « Ice Cream » du New Young Pony Club, intrigue filles et garçons derrière son clavier ; la minette que l’on pense effacée à côté d’une Tahita Bulmer excitée et excentrique, mais dont la sensualité a –finalement- un côté plus subversif que les cris des riot grrls ordinaires.

Lou aime le second degré. Et c’est avec brio qu’elle traverse, blonde ou brune, des décennies de clichés dans son clip « My feelings have changed ». Tour à tour héroïne glamour des 60’s, icône disco futuriste des 70’s, business woman à épaulettes des 80’s, top model des 90’s et londonienne des années 2000 en petite-jupe-arlequin-de-chez-Topshop, la claviériste du NYPC nous transporte avec humour dans son univers de femme fatale et subtile au charme destructeur.

Ce morceau est un croisement hybride entre du Bananarama hypothétiquement électrique, de l’electropop lente et un « Murder on the dancefloor » (qui a oublié Sophie Ellis Bextor ?) langoureux. Technicolor anti-pop, disco minimaliste et sarcasmes sous susurrements sensuels : même si tout cela peut paraître un peu easy, Lou manie sans complexe les contradictions…Et réussit ingénieusement à se détacher de l’image sucrée-salée légèrement naïve qui colle un peu trop aux membres du plus connu des clubs de poneys londoniens.

Simple Systems, Complex Behaviours

Zimoun’s sound sculptures and installations are graceful, mechanized works of playful poetry, their structural simplicity opens like an industrial bloom to reveal a complex and intricate series of relationships, an ongoing interplay between the «artificial» and the «organic».

He is interested in the artistic research of simple and elegant systems to generate and study complex behaviours in sound and motion. He creates sound pieces from basic components, often using multiples of the same prepared mechanical elements to examine the creation and degeneration of patterns.

Et la possibilité de dialoguer, soit par micro interposé, soit par écrit. Et surtout de zapper et d’être zappé, en appuyant sur la touche «Next». D’où le néologisme «nexter». »

Absolut vodka has launched a new limited edition, Flavor of the Tropics, at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes. The new product will be exclusive to the global duty-free channel and will be launched in Europe and the Americas in January 2010 and rolled out to the rest of the world in February.

The Flavor of the Tropics variety features the natural sweetness of orange, mango, lychee and melon, with noted of pineapple and berries, and comes in a collector’s bottle with bright orange and deep red highlights. The new Absolut flavour will be supported by a full-scale marketing campaign including advertising, in-store activities and tastings, moving media and installations.

Les amateurs de design pourront découvrir de nombreuses pièces, représentées dans tous les styles et toutes les expressions, des années 1950 à 1980. Plus de 90 exposants présenteront ces pièces imaginées par de célèbres designers comme Saarinen, Paulin et Panton, Prouvé, Mouille et Matégot ou par des anonymes que les antiquaires auront déniché pour le grand public.

Yello était à ses débuts (à la fin des années 70) composé de Boris Blank (synthé, sampling, percussions, voix additionnelles) et de Carlos Perón. Dieter Meier (voix, paroles), fils d’un industriel millionnaire et accro du jeu, intégra le groupe lorsque les deux fondateurs réalisèrent qu’ils avaient besoin d’un chanteur. Meier et Blank travaillèrent ensemble en 1979 à la sortie du single I.T. Splash. Leur premier album Solid Pleasure sorti en 1980. Le single « Bostich » devient un tube international, joué dans tous les clubs et repris à l‘infini sous forme de sample jusqu‘à aujourd‘hui.
